Momo is Vietnam's leading e-wallet with over 30 million users.

What I was doing

I initially joined Momo as a senior engineer on the cloud service team to familiarize myself with company systems. Concentrated on developing high-performance services to support large-scale traffic campaigns such as Lixi, implementing whitelisting services that handled peak traffic of 3,000+ requests per second, and optimizing authentication micro services across cloud and on-premise systems.

I led and expanded a team of AI engineers and data scientists from 3 to 18 members. Focused on improving user metrics through AI applications, optimizing user onboarding, serving ads platform, and deal recommendations.

Also in charge of leading and building essential big data platforms, including an experiment platform for A/B testing and an MLOps platform with robust feature management. These platforms empowered AI applications across the company.

Also designed and implemented the transaction fraud detection system, pioneering the company's first real-time machine learning system at scale to serve millions of users.
